At Maitland Photography, we offer a wide variety of photography services including sports, event, and portrait photography.
How it all started…
In May 2016, I had just completed my junior year of college and I was preparing to travel back home to St. Kitts via Toronto for the summer holidays. My friend (in the picture attached) hit me up one weekend and asked me to buy a professional camera to take some pictures of her for the summer. I bought a basic Canon DSLR (Canon Rebel T7I) and the first photo shoot I did went viral on social media (Facebook) which let me know maybe I should take photography seriously.
The rest as they say is history.

Yohan Maitland
FOUNDER/LEAD PHOTOGRAPHER
I'm Yohan Maitland, founder and lead photographer at Maitland Photography. I was born on the tiny Caribbean island of St. Thomas, USVI and shortly thereafter I migrated to St. Kitts where I was raised. After completing high school, I relocated to New York City and then Florida shortly after to continue my formal education.
I graduated from The University of South Florida in 2017 and currently I split my professional time between my photography business and being a PR/Communications specialist.
I started doing photography as a hobby in 2016 and since then I've served clients in locales such as Toronto, New York, Miami, Washington, DC and Maryland to name a few.
Presently, I'm located in the Washington, DC metro area and I'm available for travel upon request.

We're located in the D.C-Maryland-Virginia area and are available for bookings locally, regionally and internationally.
